Teach Cyber Byte

We were busy this summer updating the format of the Teach Cyber curriculum. Modules 1-5 and their accompanying labs have been updated and can be accessed at the Teach Cyber website.

TEACH CYBER CURRICULUM UPDATES

A NEW LOOK

We heard from teachers that it was challenging to navigate the separate files so we streamlined the materials and are making them available with one click.
Each lesson overview also has a new look with a teaching guide that explains the purpose, objectives, length of time the lesson takes, and lesson resources.
Former Units 1-5 have been updated to Modules 1-5 and each of these modules are now a single download in PDF format.
Another change is that we removed references to module numbers. This is to emphasize that teachers can select the modules that best meet the learning outcomes for their students.
Check out the new format below from the Risk, Adversity, and Trust module's Information Assets lesson.

WHAT ABOUT THE LABS?

The labs have also been updated and are available in a separate PDF download. The PDF includes accompanying slides, as well as guided and independent labs for students to complete.
As a reminder you will need to have U.S. Cyber Range access or another Linux-based virtual machine platform for students to complete the labs.
