Early College Credit in Cybersecurity
Early College Credit in Cybersecurity is a topic at the forefront of cybersecurity. On September 4, 2024, the White House Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) explained, “It is crucial that we have a strong cyber workforce to address these threats and strengthen our resistance to them.” One way to build our cybersecurity workforce is to offer high school students’ opportunities to learn cybersecurity in a safe, hands-on environment while helping them traverse the bridge from high school to higher education.
Early College Credit is important because:
- It provides students with opportunities to get a jump start.
- It builds the pipelines for all students from high school to college and/or career.
