What is the NCTA program?
The NCTA is a 12-18 credit hour graduate program offered at four universities (University of Arkansas-Little Rock, California State University, Sacramento, DePaul University, and University of Louisville).
What is the goal of NCTA?
The goal of the program is to provide high school educators with deep cybersecurity content knowledge and pedagogical skills so as to more effectively teach cybersecurity and become change agents in their schools, communities, and states.
The NCTA currently has 96 educators from across the United States completing some or all of the 12-18 credit hours.
What is ahead for the NCTA program?
The NCTA recently closed the application for the next cohort of educators who will be notified in early Spring. However, the NCTA is not only dedicated to providing comprehensive professional development but through the collaborative of university faculty, the NCTA educators, and the DARK Enterprises team, the NCTA is exploring models of early college credit and seeking to provide other types of professional development, such as an asynchronous course on cybersecurity fundamentals.
