Join Teach Cyber for the Teacher Professional Development Workshop July 24-28, 2023.

At this workshop you can expect to:

- Participate in morning and afternoon synchronous sessions via Zoom and Canvas.
- Engage in hands-on activities and labs on the US Cyber Range.
- Gain access the US Cyber Range for one month.
- Receive assistance during office hours.
- Learn how to use a CTF competition in your classroom.

National Cybersecurity Teaching Academy (NCTA) Summer Professional Development
|
|
|
Enroll in the Foundations of Cybersecurity course this summer.
|
This self-paced course is free for all certified U.S. K-12 teachers registered by May 1, 2023.
|
|
|
|
Foundations of Cybersecurity
|
|
- The Foundations of Cybersecurity is the first of six courses in the NCTA program.
- The course covers the big ideas of cybersecurity including the CIA triad (confidentiality, integrity and availability).
- The course is administered asynchronously online via Canvas LMS.
- A synchronous option may be available depending on the requirements of your state.

|

A proctored exam is required to receive graduate credit. Participants must pay any fees associated with the exam. Scholarship funds may be available for the three-credit course transfer to one of the participating universities.

As we shared in our last newsletter, we want to continue sharing the results of our survey. The focus in this newsletter is the feedback on a second cybersecurity course from Teach Cyber. Check out the results below.

The National Cryptologic Foundation presents:
NEW PODCASTS FOR STUDENTS AGES 11-18
|
|
|
Each episode will follow professional guests, as they take a deep dive into various topics highlighting the ever changing world of cybersecurity. New episodes are released every other Thursday.
|
|
|
Stream #CyberChats on YouTube. The videos of each professional's interview are uploaded along with the audio.
|
|
Along with the podcast, each new episode comes paired with a specific challenge. Challenges test the skill or knowledge discussed in the corresponding episode. After streaming the episodes, participants are encouraged to individually submit their own response, as it will increase chances to win a prize at the end of the season. Participants will be able to see their name rise on the leaderboard as the challenge is completed.
