TWO-COURSE CYBERSECURITY SEQUENCE FOR HIGH SCHOOL.
|

Teach Cyber is delighted to partner with the Maryland Center for Computing Education (MCCE). Together we will examine what a two-course cybersecurity sequence would look like.
|
|
|
|
|
This work is based upon the High School Cybersecurity Curriculum Guidelines. The guidelines are imperative to this work because they enable educators to effectively plan properly sequenced activities to provide meaningful learning opportunities that target desired learning outcomes.
|
|
|
|
The team is composed of educators from both high school and higher education who are motived to advocate K-12 cybersecurity education. Some questions the team aims answer are shown above.

The National Cyber Scholarship Foundation wants to hear from YOU!

The NCSF is partnering with Texas Tech University and the University of North Georgia to learn and analyze teachers’ perceptions of cybersecurity education and their cyber knowledge.

THE 2022 VIRGINIA CYBERSECURITY EDUCATION CONFERENCE
|
|
|
|
Register for the Virginia Cybersecurity Education Conference. This event takes place on July 20 - 21, 2022 at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. This year's theme is "It takes a village to raise a cybersecurity generation". This 5th annual conference is an in-person event.

The Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) May 23-25, 2022
|
|
|

Tom Polliard from Estrella Mountain Community College, and Melissa Dark and Jenny Daugherty from DARK Enterprises / Teach Cyber will lead the Bridging Cyber in High Schools to Community Colleges session.
|
|
|
|
|
In this session, the presenters will share the results of mapping the High School Cybersecurity Curriculum Guidelines (HSCCGs) to the NICE Framework and cybersecurity courses at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC). The HSCCG express the foundational knowledge domain for secondary cybersecurity learning and are being used to support high school instruction across the country. This presentation will describe the alignment of the HSCCGs to aspects of the NICE framework as expressed in the EMCC courses as a model for creating dual credit or placement offerings. The presentation will end with a discussion of necessary next steps to support high school cybersecurity educational pathways.
