The Teach Cyber Byte:
Teacher of the Year Award
Many of you may remember that we honored teachers last year for the work they are doing in cybersecurity education. We want to keep this tradition going each year. We want to recognize teachers who: 1) dedicate time and effort to introducing students into the cybersecurity field; 2) develop cybersecurity programs and clubs and coach competitions and 3) create robust systemic change in cybersecurity education in their communities.
Additionally, please remember the NCTA Scholarship deadline is this Friday, January 21, 2022.

|
|
|
This award recognizes teachers who have dedicated significant time and effort to prepare for, recruit, and implement a cybersecurity class at their school. Their efforts have resulted in students' introduction into the field of cybersecurity and learning the importance of data care.

|
Pathways to Cybersecurity Award
|
|
|
|
This award recognizes teachers who (in addition to teaching a cybersecurity course and emphasizing data care) developed cybersecurity programs, host clubs, and/or coach competitions. Their efforts have given students multiple means to enter or advance along a cybersecurity path.
|
|
|
Platform for Cybersecurity Award
|
|
|
|
This award recognizes teachers who are creating robust systemic change in cybersecurity education in their communities. These awardees mentor other teachers and craft curriculum or policies highlighting data care to be adopted by other cybersecurity teachers.
|
|
|
|
|
|
National Cybersecurity Teaching Academy
|
